Would you like even MORE debt?

Doesn’t it seem there are many celebrities that shirk, avoid, or even go out of their way to be poor role models? Granted, they aren’t obligated to be good role models, but there are some that use their celebrity to make a fast buck at the expense of putting admirers in financial peril. Such people are worse than scum in my book.

One such person is Montel Williams, a former failed talk-show host and current spokesperson for Money Mutual, a glorified payday lender. Offering small, high-interest loans to the financially stressed with a smile and a message that that more debt is the way to happiness is nothing short of an abandonment of character. Racking in tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, by guiding followers and admirers to a loan shark, wrapped in packaging that life’s happiness can be found in debt is a crime and an evacuation of any sense of obligation to his celebrity. Furthermore, it displays his own true character and exploitation of the less financially fortunate that would rely on his advice.

Montel should be turned off or at the very least, ignored! It is bad enough that he has had to stoop to hawking an assortment of overpriced goods to maintain any public awareness that he still exists and has anything of importance to say. All things considered, Montel’s “success” has always been from some form of exploitation of the less fortunate.

Montel, I know you have more character than you are exhibiting on the Money Mutual commercials. Be the leader that we know you can be. Help people to become truly financial successful instead of assisting those that would seek to exploit your fans.
